- About Broke -
The wine sub-region of Broke Fordwich is approximately 15 minutes from of Pokolbin. The wines of Broke are very different. They tend to be fruitier, softer- and generally easier to drink!
The Broke region is famous for Verdelho. Most cellar doors are open weekends and welcome visitors with a smile, or Call Paul from www.awinetourinbroke.com.au for a guided, fun day out in Broke Fordwich Wine region.
Broke is a beautiful village with fantastic views and mountains, Yellow Rock is the most noticeable- you will see it towering over Broke as you drive along Broke Road. Ask the locals and they will point you to special areas for bushwalking, including areas with ancient aboriginal carvings. The area has lots of shady picnic spots and a drive to nearby Wollombi is only 15 minutes away.
